‘Carbon budget’ talks urgent, warns Lord Stern

Lord Stern, the former chief economist of the World Bank, warns, “without radical policies to cut emissions humanity will exceed the [“carbon budget”] limit within 15 to 25 years.” Stern pressures world governments to urgently include carbon budget calculations in international negotiations concerning climate change. At the same time, governments are concerned such talks would “derail the already fragile process of negotiations on climate.”
